Just wow. Jean Van de Velde blows his chance to the be the first Frenchman to win the British Open since 1907 on the 18th hole at Carnoustie. He went in with a 3 stroke lead and came out with....a... triple bogey. He then lost the playoff that followed to Paul Lawrie. more>>

this is definitely the most dramatic collapse in golf history but Arnold Palmer going into the last day of the 1966 US Open with a 7 stroke lead and blowing the whole thing might be slightly worse
