Wow! I need an engineering degree just to understand this video. Holy cow...
Technically sound is not part of the process. If it can't be heard, it's not sound. It could be turned into sound since they use the camera's microphone jack to send the data. But it's just electrical waves. In the video it was fed through a speaker to make a point, but it might have confused more people than it helped. HOW the data gets from the camera to the truck is the least relevant part.
If you think the explanation is way more complicated than you thought it would be, keep in mind that the explanation was a simplified overview.
