The Russian Rifleman Evegeny Grachev has been outstanding and equally so has been Rushkie Ranger centerman Artem Anisimov who showed off some awesome moves in the following video.

Artem Anisimov demonstrated an out of this world move against Bruin defender Jeff Penner and finished it off with an outstanding juke to beat Boston Goaltender Tim Thomas in a preseason game that took place on June 19th 2009.

Cam Ward is up to his old tricks. He turned in a 36-save shutout Sunday night against Boston in Game 2, a 3-0 victory by Carolina that evened the best-of-7 Eastern Conference semifinal at a game apiece with the series moving to Raleigh for Game 3 on Wednesday.

Behind every great athlete is....some very supportive parents. Boston Bruins' goalie Tim Thomas grew up in Flint, Michigan where the economy has been slumping since the 80s. His parents made many sacrifices to keep him playing but these days they don't regret them at all.

Boston just barely made the playoffs at the end of the 2007-2008 season, squeaking past Carolina by 2pts to make it in and then they lost in the first round to Montreal. Not a very impressive season. This year? They've clinched a #1 finish in the Eastern Conference and might be hoisting that big silver cup before too long...

Alex Ovechkin scored his 50th goal of the season last night---closely followed by 51, 52 and 53 -- as the Caps reigned terror on Bruins G Tim Thomas' GAA in a 10-2 bloodbath. In other news, the Caps continued to establish themselves as the unofficial trade-deadline winners as Ex-Canuck Matt Cooke scored his first goal in a Caps uni only 32 seconds into the game and Huet finished with a .909 SV%.
