Scott Ferrall's F-Bomb laden Stanley Cup Call

As you know here a the Crisis The Mouth likes to keep things pretty much PG-13 but away from the show the big man has a tremendous grasp of colorful language, especially during the throws of a heated Ranger game.

The Mouth implores any Ranger fans that may be offended or not mature enough to handle the F Bombs and other vulgar words Ferrall spews forth to simply skip this post in good faith.

The only reason I’m showing this is The Mouth thinks it’s absolutely over the top hysterical. The following clip also does not involve Ranger Hockey which is another departure.

Ranger Crisis ensures you this will be a rare instance we step away from Ranger hockey, we make this clip the exception, after all this was the Stanley Cup.

That’s why The Mouth thinks the following clip is tremendous fun, because it is exactly how he would react if the Rangers had defeated the Detroit Redwings in last weeks Stanley Cup rather than the Pittsburgh Penguins. In his stead for this vulgar frantic celebration call is sports commentator Scott Ferrall.

We join Ferrall as he counts down the last seconds of the Final Game 7 with the face off deep in the Penguins zone. His final countdown was recapped on the Howard Stern show.

Penguins Takes Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals 4-2 over Detroit

Pittsburgh has now evened the Stanley Cup Finals series with Detroit 2 games all and won game 4 by the exact same score they won game 3 by, 4-2 (coincidentally, Detroit won the first 2 games of the series on their home ice 3-1 and 3-1). Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, Sidney Crosby, and Tyler Kennedy scored the Penguins goals mostly in the 2nd period with Crosby, Malkin, and Staal all also adding an assist each. The third period passed scoreless and now the defending Champ Red Wings head home with their decisive 2-0 starting lead erased.

Penguins Win Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals 4-2 over Detroit

Pittsburgh got one step closer to evening up the Stanley Cup Finals with Detroit with a 4-2 game 3 win. Maxime Talbot scored twice for Pittsburgh and Kris Letang and Sergei Gonchar scored the other goals. Captain Sidney Crosby had 1 assist and the high-scoring Evgeni Malkin stayed at the top of the Finals points leaderboard with assists on 3 of the goals. Detroit saw their 2-0 series lead get chopped in half and now have to stay in Pittsburgh for game 3.

In their one day off from the Stanley Cup Finals this week, Pittsburgh players Evgeni Malkin, Maxime Talbot, and Bill Guerin take questions after their Wednesday practice. Malkin, nicknamed Geno, teases Talbot for scoring on an empty net at the end of Tuesday's win over Detroit, saying, “I see how Max plays, lots of emotion, never stop skating. Yeah, and a little bit bad hands. He has lots of scoring chance, not score. Just empty net. It’s O.K., he learns over the summer.” Talbot takes this well just saying "Thanks Geno" and Guerin remarks that while reporters oftentimes think of Malkin as shy and quiet, their other Russian teammates disagree: "From what Gonch [Sergei Gonchar] and Fedotenko [Ruslan Fedotenko] tell me, yes, he’s extremely funny. And it’s kind of obvious when he’s going to carve somebody because he goes right from English right into Russian, so you can’t understand it. People think he’s kind of a quiet guy, but he’s got a great sense of humor."

The Penguins' Talbot hits Detroit goalie Chris Osgood with his stick after the referee had already blown his whistle, aggravating several Wings players. Detroit star Zetterberg gets into it with Pens star Evgeni Malkin in what is probably the normally reserved Malkin's first real NHL fight. The Red Wings went on to win game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals 3-1, the exact same score that the Wings won by in game 1.

Pittsburgh Penguins Win The Eastern Conference And Receive the Prince of Wales Trophy

The Pittsburgh Penguins win the Eastern Conference for the second year in a row and are heading to the Stanley Cup Championships after sweeping the Carolina Hurricanes.
Sidney Crosby Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Gonchar are presented with the Prince of Wales Trophy (AKA Eastern Conference Champion trophy) and break tradition and superstition by actually touching it. Like so many other teams that are presented with this trophy, last year the Penguins didn't touch it because it was not the trophy they ultimately wanted. This year they switched it up and touched it hoping to change their outcome in the next round.
