Yes, they didn't know Mark Teixiera wasn't Nick Swisher, and yes, they got the name wrong of the 2009 Yankee theme song "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z, and they missed Jorge Posada all together, but the commentators still did an okay job considering they aren't sports journalists. Yankee fans in the massive crowd did a pretty good job themselves of getting good victory parade footage.

Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee didn't seem fazed by at all by the bright lights of NYC. Lee threw 10 strikeouts and held the Yanks to one run as he pitched a complete Game 1 of the WS.

The Angels took a 4-0 lead early in the game, but the Yankees went up 6-4 in the top 7th. The Angels came right back in the bottom 7th as Kenny Morales drove in the go-ahead run. The ALCS moves back to New York in Game 6.

Perhaps the bitter New York weather is the explanation for why the Angels made several costly errors in Game 1 of the ALCS, including a pop-up by Matsui that turned into a run because neither SS Erick Aybar or 3B Chone Figgins even attempted to catch it. It was enough to make pitcher John Lackey lose his mind.
